This PoE 3.11 Harvest Ranger Frost Blades Raider Build is a Claw & Shield based Frost Blades build. It utilizes a fast clear speed, high mobility, high evasion, and high damage to clear all the available content. The high evasion and dodge chance helps keep us alive, but this isn't a tanky AFK build. You need to stay on your toes.

Gems Setup

Frost Blades

Frost BladesElemental Damage with AttacksHypothermia - Rage - Multistrike - Ruthless / Ancestral Call

If you can get some of the Awakened versions of the skillgems, then that is really good. Some of them are pretty easily obtained, others are more expensive.

When mapping, use Ancestral Call instead of Ruthless. Ancestral call together with Frost Blades is incredibly powerful.

3-Link: Auras

Haterd - Herald of Ice - Enlighten

Keep Herald of Ice and Hatred in your shield, together with Enlighten.

If you get a shield with 15% reduced mana reserved, you can fit in another Herald or Aspect. In this case make sure to use a lvl 1 precision

4-Link: Whirling blades

Whirling blades - Fortify - Cast On Critical Strike - Frost Bombs

If you don't have an Assassin's mark ring you will need to use a different setup, but this is how it should look when you do.

Having a curse on hit setup in your whirling blades is a good way to easily debuff bosses by just whirling through them. You want to whirl through them anyway to keep your fortify up, so why not debuff them at the same time?

4-Link: Totems and Flame Dash

Ancestral Protector - Vaal Ancestral WarchiefFlame DashCulling Strike

Use Ancestral Protector whenever you fight any tougher mob. Vaal ancestral warchief should be used on bosses. You can use both at the same time, even though they are both totems.

Have Flame Dash linked together with them, and then add a Culling Strike. This way you can cull bosses with both the totems and flame dash.

4-Link: Cast When Damage Taken

CWDT - Immortal CallSummon Ice Golem - Blood Rage

Keep the gems on low level to make sure it proccs as often as possible. CWDT should be level 1.

3-Link: Vaal haste - Berserk - Precision

Vaal Haste and Berserk should be used when you need that extra burst. Preferably together with Ancestral Warchief.

Gear Setup

Weapon

When it comes to claws, you should look for claws with high physical dps. If a claw has T1 cold damage on it, then a hybrid claw can be really cool.

The absolute best scenario is to have a claw with high physical dps, and also some form of elemental penetration on it.

Redeemer exalts have a couple of really cool prefixes that you can get, so if you have a crafted claw with a free prefix on it, then you can slam a redeemer on it and hope it lands T1 cold penetration.

Also, make sure that your claw also has increased critical strike chance on it. I cannot stress this enough.

Bloodseeker

You should always have it as your goal to get a rare claw, but if you don't have a high budget my favorite alternative is a Bloodseeker.

Other good alternatives are Wasp Nest and Touch of Anguish. Both of these gives more damage than Bloodseeker.

Shield

6% increased Movement Speed

Socketed Gems have 15% reduced Mana Reservation
+28 to Evasion Rating
+135 to maximum Life
+8% to all Elemental Resistances
+1% to all maximum Resistances
4% chance to deal Double Damage

6% increased Movement Speed

Socketed Gems have 15% reduced Mana Reservation
68% increased Evasion Rating
+84 to maximum Life
+16% to all Elemental Resistances
Reflects 8 Physical Damage to Melee Attackers
5% chance to deal Double Damage

A rare shield with: Life, High evasion, Resists, Reduced mana reservation

Anything beyond that is just a bonus. The Aura Reservation saves us a gem slot otherwise used for Enlighten. A shield with high evasion is a big source for our evade chance and helps a lot with reaching 95% evade.

If you have a shield with an open suffix, you can also craft cool stuff like 5% chance to deal double damage on them. That modifier gives a lot of damage.

Gloves

Shaper's Touch is best in slot unless you have insane currency. Only downside with them is the lack of resist. Getting a pair with +1 frenzy charge corruption is ideal.

Since the introduction of Warlord Exalts you can also get +1 to frenzy charge on rare gloves as an affix. This means that you can theoretically get +2 frenzy from your gloves. At this point we're talking many exalts though.

You can also get a cool modifier from the Hunter Exalt that makes your attacks strike an extra nearby enemy. I don't think it's worth getting it because it's only good for clear speed and QoL. You should know that the option exists though.

Tombfist are also a great option. Socket them with a Murderous Eye Jewel, and you will also get intimidate from them.

Body Armour

+104 to maximum Life
+48% to Cold Resistance
+15% to Lightning Resistance
14% of Physical Damage from Hits taken as Fire Damage
Attacks have +1.46% to Critical Strike Chance
8% increased maximum Life
8% increased maximum Mana

A good rare body armour or a Farrul's Fur are our best options.

On a rare body armour, life and high evasion is the goal to start with. You can no longer get maim on body armours, but you can still get the critical strike chance modifier. You can craft these armours yourself as long as you have an Elder influenced armour (Check video about fossil crafting armours in the video section).

First priority is to get one with high life and evasion though.

Farrul's Fur is arguably the best option for the build. It allows you to use Aspect of the Cat without the mana reserved, which means you can add another herald, like Herald of Purity. You will still need to have Aspect of the Cat crafted on another item though.

You will get about the same amount of damage as with a rare, but with a Farrul's Fur on, you will have 100% uptime on frenzy charges, even when not in combat.

There is however a drawback. You will not be able to get as much life on a Farrul's Fur as you can get on a rare body armour.

Yriel's Fostering (Rhoa or Ursa) - This is also a great armour. It gives a lot of damage, has decent evasion, and decent max life. An all around good chest. But it lacks resists.

Boots

Darkray Vectors are best in slot. They are also very cheap.

You should also try to get the enchant that says Damage Penetrates 10% of Enemy Elemental Resistances if you haven't Killed Recently.

There are only 16 enchants that you can get on boots from the uber lab, so this enchant is very farmable.

Get a Twice Enchanted prophecy and grab all the darkshrines, and you can get up to 3 enchants per run.

Helmet

40% increased Frost Blades Damage

33% increased Evasion Rating
+48% to Cold Resistance
+42% to Lightning Resistance
16% increased Elemental Damage
Nearby Enemies have -9% to Cold Resistance
+69 to maximum Life

Starkonja is a really great helmet and will last you a long time. At some point you may want to switch to a rare helmet crafted with Frigid Fossils though. This gives you about the same damage, but allows you to also get resists and other stuff from your helm.

40% increased Frost blades damage enchant is ideal of course.

You can also get enchants for blood rage, ancestral protector, berserk, etc.

Amulet

Allocates Holy Dominion

+24 to Strength and Intelligence
24% increased Global Critical Strike Chance
+36% to Global Critical Strike Multiplier
+22 to maximum Energy Shield
+84 to maximum Life
+7% to all Elemental Resistances
21% increased Elemental Damage with Attack Skills

A good rare amulet will beat other alternatives. We want Critical Strike Multiplier, Life, Resists, Elemental damage with attacks, added cold/phys etc.

There are also a lot of cool influence modifiers you can get on amulets from the different conqueror's, shaper, and elder.

You can get really good prefixes from Reedemer exalts, for example.

Check out this link to see all the mods you can get: http://poedb.tw/us/mod.php?cn=Amulet

Other options are: The PandemoniusHyrri's Truth

Rings

Mark of the Elder together with a shaped rare ring.

Most important stats on the rare ring are life and resist, but if you can fit in some cold/phys dmg or EDWAS, that's great.

In the best case scenario, you can get a ring with "Curse enemies with level # Assassin's Mark on hit". That frees up some gem slots for you.

Belt

Stygian

Has 1 Abyssal Socket
+42 to Strength
+94 to maximum Life
+42% to Cold Resistance
+35% to Lightning Resistance
Reflects 8 Physical Damage to Melee Attackers
21% increased Elemental Damage with Attack Skills

Has 1 Abyssal Socket
+76 to maximum Life
4% increased maximum Life
+41% to Fire Resistance
36% increased Elemental Damage
33% increased Elemental Damage with Attack Skills
+15% to Fire and Chaos Resistances

jewel
Adds 16 to 36 Cold Damage to Attacks
10% increased Global Critical Strike Chance
Adds 11 to 21 Cold Damage to Claw Attacks
Adds 17 to 27 Fire Damage to Claw Attacks

jewel
Adds 6 to 12 Cold Damage to Attacks
+9% to all Elemental Resistances
Adds 6 to 11 Cold Damage to Claw Attacks
Adds 3 to 4 Physical Damage to Claw Attacks

Stygian belts are superior to all other belts for this build.

We want Life/resists/EDWAS. If you use Frigid + Prismatic fossils on a belt, you can get really good ones that have both increased cold damage - increased elemental damage AND increased elemental damage with attack skills.

Critical strike multiplier and attack speed are both very good on the jewel. Life and resist may also be a good idea if you are in need of it.

Jewels

Corrupted Blood cannot be inflicted on you

12% increased Cold Damage
With at least 40 Dexterity in Radius, Melee Damage
dealt by Frost Blades Penetrates 15% Cold Resistance
With at least 40 Dexterity in Radius, Frost Blades has 25% increased Projectile Speed

We're using Frost Blades, so yeah Fight for Survival

Try to get a pair with Corrupted blood cannot be inflicted on you.

This allows you to get rid of your bleed immunity on the flask and you can craft crit on it instead. See flasks.

Cluster Jewels

Adds 4 Passive Skills
Added Small Passive Skills grant: 10% increased Effect of Non-Damaging Ailments

Added Small Passive Skills also grant: +3% to Lightning Resistance
1 Added Passive Skill is Cold Conduction
1 Added Passive Skill is Stormrider
1 Added Passive Skill is a Jewel Socket

Watcher's Eye

4% increased maximum Energy Shield
6% increased maximum Life
4% increased maximum Mana
Adds 67 to 91 Cold Damage while affected by Hatred
Unaffected by Conductivity while affected by Purity of Lightning

5% increased maximum Energy Shield
5% increased maximum Life
5% increased maximum Mana
10% of Physical Damage from Hits taken as Lightning Damage while affected by Purity of Lightning
Damage Penetrates 13% Cold Resistance while affected by Hatred
-7 to Total Mana Cost of Skills while affected by Clarity

5% increased maximum Energy Shield
5% increased maximum Life
6% increased maximum Mana
53% increased Cold Damage while affected by Hatred
Unaffected by Enfeeble while affected by Grace

May be expensive, but I would recommend getting some version of it.

The best ones tend to be the ones that give Crit chance/Added cold damage/Cold penetration. All of those three are good and the one that is best for you may depend on your current gear.

Atziri's PromiseLion's RoarTaste of Hate

If you can corrupt one of your jewels with corrupting blood immunity, that means you can swap out your life flask for one of these instead: "80% increased Critical Strike Chance during Flask Effect". It gives a lot of damage.

If you have a big budget and can afford it, you can get: Bottled Faith

It varies from league to league, but in 3.9 this flask cost about 14-15 exalts. So this one is obviously only relevant when you already have good gear on other spots.
