2. [PoE 3.3] Acid Molten Strike Assassin - Uber Elder/Shaper-Viable Poison Build

1. [PoE 3.3] Frostblades Assassin. 500K DPS with Budget gear! League starter! Insane Clear Speed!

Hey, Thanks for visiting my build guide. This informative guide is for those who want an Incursion league starters or who don't put on lots of currency in-to farm out massive levels of currency. This build farmed us a headhunter last league in 1 and half days.

The build does 500K  DPS having a 35C Budget. You are able to go cheaper (15c or lower) and obtain about 400K DPS.

Also, you will observe the touch of anguish's within the Path of Building. Individuals are simply the perfect weapons. It is simple to only use two wasp nest and obtain just by fine. This build is about which makes it use essentially zero currency.

3.3 (UPDATE) Not really much changed with our build, which is fantastic because we were already insanely strong. I'm hoping to get my hands on some of the new uniques and test them out with the build, but for now, this build will be able to kick pretty much anythings ass.

Pantheons

They are highly situational and fully depending on what you'll need for the current gear. At this time I like Yokohama and yugul as my all a rounder minor ones. It will help with reflect maps a great deal and Yokohama is simply pretty nice if you do not worry about reflecting. Brine king is we have to possess the primary one though.

Leveling Uniques

At this time I suggest taking Ewar's Mirage inside your primary hands. This really is essentially a financial budget Touch of anguish. Inside your off hands ideally, you'll need a high Phys foil. One particualr high Phys foil is Daresso's passion.

These guys, obviously, the classic's that are Goldrim, Wanderlust boots, and Prismweave belt would be the primary ones that spring to mind. Bear in mind these are going to be fairly costly in early stages within the league. We used rares I discovered and went to endgame all right. You need to be wary that you'll want to farm for the gear sometimes before facing someone else in charge.

2. [PoE 3.3] Acid Molten Strike Assassin - Uber Elder/Shaper-Viable Poison Build

3.3 Update: Not a lot of changes surprisingly.

Wither Totem Duration has been reduced from 14 to 8 seconds due to skill duration no longer affecting it. Doesn't really make a large difference realistically.

Deadly Ailments buffed. 5% more poison damage and a bit less lag.

Performance has been increased. This is a buff.

Fenumus' Weave gone:

Quite a big loss, as the gloves themselves, provided around 30% extra damage.

Hinder can still be obtained from the Wither Totem, although it's not as cool as the Spider Webs.

I won't play the build in 3.3 myself, but essentially you'll want to replace the mana reservation from Aspect of the Spider with something else. There are two ways I'd go for:

1) Use rare gloves with attack speed, life and resists.

Get an item that provides +1 to curses (I recommend either Windscream/-shriek or a corrupted amulet) and then uses Enfeeble/Despair in your Blasphemy setup.

Unless you can support your Blasphemy by a level 3/4 Enlighten you'll have to drop Arctic Armour at first, which is not a big deal.

You can also use a Chaos Impresence or Witchfire Brew to get a free Despair Aura, or just put a level 5 Enfeeble in your CWDT-IC setup. In these cases, you can exchange Arctic Armour for (Vaal) Grace because you'll have more free mana.

Example Pastebin: https://pastebin.com/JKG18M4m

2) Use Volkuur's Guidance with Fire Damage. Exchange Arctic Armour for Anger.

If you want you can also swap Added Chaos Damage for Immolate, but that might cause issues with reflect.

Example Pastebin: https://pastebin.com/HmhTA2AX

Option 1) will give you more long-term damage, while 2) will give you more short-term damage, especially against bosses. The survivability and cost are about the same, but 1) is the better starter because Volkuur's Guidance can be a bit expensive.

Personally, I'd go with 2) as soon as I had the gloves.

If you find any useful items during Incursion you can try to implement them as well, or ask in the thread if you're not sure about them.

Pros:

+Looks nice

+Mostly cheap

+You can tell everyone you did Shaper with <10k tooltip DPS

+Can do every map mod, doesn't rely on leech or regen

+Literally melts bosses

+Tanky, can face tank most of the game with good gear

+Vaal Pact nostalgia (very fast life recovery)

+Slows down enemies a lot

Cons:

-Some BiS items are expensive

-Destroys your GPU as well as GGG's servers

-Not HC-viable due to lag combined with the risky playstyle

-Extremely backloaded damage

-No one will want to play with you

-Not the fastest clear speed, but Frost Blades can help out with that (check videos)

[3.3] Dark Pact-Skeletons Assassin ft. Gloomfang (CoC and Poet's Pen) [Shaper and friends down]

This build went untouched within the 3.3 patch notes and it is all set. It appears as though the meta will center around a few of the revamped skills, and so I expect all things in this build to stay cheap and individually distinct, including Essences of Fear and Gloomfang. The only real pricy products will probably be your Poet's Pens.

The build did lose the Part of the Spider mitts since Bestiary wasn't put into the main game. Well-folded rare mitts make the perfect substitute because it will help with completing resists and ensuring you're in the attack speed breakpoint for the Poet's Pens.

Pros:

+ Great damage, especially single target - but also good at mapping.

+ Chaos damage cannot be reflected.

+ Scales damage in a cool way and uses off-meta skill gems and gear.

+ Fairly cheap to get going, but also very fun to sink poe currency into essence crafting and min-maxing.

+ Great build for those who like to create their own gear, but want to avoid expensive meta crafting.

+ The Skeletons are so tanky that they double as meat shields and bosses will often focus on them.

+ Doesn't use Watcher's Eye, stat sticks or any of the other metal gear that's incredibly expensive these days.

Cons:

- Can only achieve 5k-6k life.

- Not HC viable due to Assassin ascendancy and low life pool.

- Has to use Flame Dash as its mobility skill.

- Must be careful with hexproof mobs and reduced curse effectiveness map mods.

- Cannot be built as CI or LL due to Gloomfang.

LEVELING

It was my league starter and so I leveled it without needing the Pens. You are able to level with whatever spell you would like until Dark Pact can be obtained, after which level into the tree shared above using self-cast Dark Pact. I transitioned into the final build after I could buy my two Pens. This had little effect on the tree - it simply resulted in I possibly could begin taking the minion life nodes after which finally build into the power charges.

If leveling the build with Pens, only use whatever two spells you believe would be the most enjoyable and you're ready to go. I do not think going Dark Pact/Summon Skeletons can be really fast at lower levels and so I would encourage more standard leveling spells rather.

Shadow Saboteur:

1. [PoE 3.3] Poison Stacking Seismic/Explosive Trap Theory-craft

2. [ PoE 3.3] FIRETRAPPER (Leaguestarter, ssf-friendly)

3. [PoE 3.3] What a Shocking Tri-Element Crit Trapper! [Fire/Ice/Shock Nova Trap build][Shaper Video]

1. [PoE 3.3] Poison Stacking Seismic/Explosive Trap Theory-craft

The Idea of the build

I wish to make use of the new physical damage based traps Seismic Trap and Explosives Trap together with 4x Coated Shrapnel jewels to ensure they are 100% opportunity to poison.

Seismic Trap states: Frequently releases numerous waves for any duration. Each wave deals damage in a number of small burst inside a line, ending up having a bigger burst.

Explosive Trap states: Results in a large explosion when triggered dealing spell damage within an area. Numerous smaller sized explosions occur around the area in quick succession following the first. (from video jewel states causes 1 large then 7 smaller sized explosions)

•Disintegrator Staff adds tons of physical damage.

•Ming's Heart rings give us 40% of phys as extra Chaos.

•Budget versions could run spell daggers. Even Diviniarius dagger still gives decent DPS according to Path of Building, and would be dirt cheap. Especially compared to a 6 link Disintegrator.

•These new traps deal damage in multiple hits, so it seems like they could have a shotgun effect and applying lots of poisons very quickly.

•Against bosses Explosives Trap has been identified as a good single target trap. It has no cooldown, and was described as easily being able to hit larger bosses with all explosions. So we have Orb of Storms Curse on hit Despair and a Spell totem with Wither; dropping the bosses chaos res and adding Wither stacks.

2. [ PoE 3.3] FIRETRAPPER (Leaguestarter, ssf-friendly)

A lot of things may change since brand new changes and that I never performed a trapper myself.

However, I have performed for a while and when want to see my progress in SSF or intend to play a firebased trapper this thread may be for you personally.

In Addition, I use PoePlanner for those my builds, I would convert it to PoB too if there's demand.

This can be a life build, but based on things I find I would change to CI for that bigger possible max life pool and immunity to chaos appears pretty sweet in Incursion league.

SKILLS

- Firetrap for AoE

- Flamethrower, but will be testing different setups

WHY SABO?

- I think saboteur is a very solid starting build, with high defensive options you should be able to fill your atlas nicely and be able to level the character safely to any level you choose.

- Also lots of quality of life for ssf, with chain reaction you need not worry about unique jewels.

- Acendant looks very strong as well, especially for its versatility.

OFFENSIVE

- Lots of trap damage, some aoe and lots of good old CRIT

- Herald of Ash & Anger are a pretty sick combo but reserving 75% mana might be iffy as trapper.

- we are penetrating 65% fire resistance at max gem levels

- selfcast Flammability on bosses/rares

- bear trap is gonna be nice for bossing

- a scorching ray totem might be implented to lower boss resistances even more!

DEFENSIVE

- lots of life (at least for a trapper) to work with

- depending on gear, if you feel you get hit too much, you can run grace instead of anger.

- acrobatics are always nice

- 20% life regen helps as well :D

- ideally we use dagger + shield for shieldcharge/fortify

- keep in mind: we have barely any evasion from tree. A good jade flask is gonna be mandatory

- you could even fit in a blasphemy + enfeeble/temp chains if you really wanted to map safely

3. [PoE 3.3] What a Shocking Tri-Element Crit Trapper! [Fire/Ice/Shock Nova Trap build][Shaper Video]

I have looked through various Lists of Trapper builds and it was quite confused that I have never witnessed just one Tri-Element Trapper since... Goodness me, In my opinion, with something wonderingly. Therefore, I'd place it on myself to produce one, and dear me, was I positively 'shocked' in the result!

Overview

+ Can run pretty much any Map mod (Although no Life and Mana reg can be a major pain)

+ No mandatory Gear

+ Fast screen-clearing

+ Can get a decently high life and ES pool (5k+ life and 2.5k-3.5k ES(Depending on your gear)

+ Atziri, Izaro and High Tier Maps ain't no problem!

+ Can deal with every Guardian!

+ Shaper and T15 Elder viable!

+ Loads of fun to play!

+ Everyone loves a Shocker!

= Viable for HC, but can be a pain early on, as this build tends to be pretty squishy in its early stages.

= Mana heavy without Mind over Matter, meaning you need a Mana Flask if you don't skill it.

- The high amount of giant Shock Novas and Ice Traps can get on one's eyes quickly

- Your fingers can get stiff from constantly smashing the keyboard

Changes for 3.3

Patch Notes are finally out, and dear me, they are far less stellar as I first hoped. Let's go through the changes of the Passive Tree and the main skills used in this build first.

Passive Tree Changes

Overall, I'd say it's possible to now expect a little more damage from their traps. One node continues to be cramped between Murder and Elemental Focus, a replacement added for additional Crit in the big Trap tree, at this point you no more have to decide between Physical or Elemental Traps and Master Sapper continues to be increased a great deal nearer to the cisco kid (possibly close enough that I can you will want it for the way well Billed Traps Support generates Craze Charges). Trap tossing speed continues to be reduced, however, little (also it wasn't that important of the stat, anyways) and Trap recovery rate continues to be halved overall (now absolutely useless with this build). One a side-note, the bottom more active Traps was elevated to fifteen (up from three). With sufficient Cluster Trap skills, you are able to fire up your damage output a great deal via Perfect Crime this way!

Passive Skill Tree

Initially, skill for the big trap develops the best, getting all of the life nodes you will get on the way. Next, skill either towards Blast Cascade or go straight for Mind Over Matter, getting all life nodes, the little Trap tree, Saboteur, over the Shadow, the 2 Jewel slots and Elemental Equilibrium in route. Next, get Disaster Cast and also the Rash Renovation, then everything over the Witch. Finally, arrive at the Templar and after that skill all of the Jewel Slots and skipped single life nodes in some places that you simply still can get.

For Leveling, grab yourself Split Arrow initially along with a Fire Trap on the way. You might use Lightning Arrow when you are the possibility. When you kill General Gravius, get Ice Trap, Shock Nova and potentially purchase a Deerstalker for like 1 Alteration Orb and 1 Exalted Orb. After that, you are able to go, full Trapper, you will find, it will deal ample damage while leveling!

Shadow Trickster

1. [PoE 3.3] [HC-SC] [10 Blades] Tankster Crit BV MoM Fake Poison Build [Assassin added] [1 to 2,5 mi DPS]

2. [PoE 3.3] Death's Oath Trickster - ALL CONTENT | Tanky | Budget | Fast Clear | Lag-Free

3. [PoE 3.3] SC/HC - Essence Drain/Blight MoM Trickster - Uber Elder "viable"

1. [PoE 3.3] [HC-SC] [10 Blades] Tankster Crit BV MoM Fake Poison Build [Assassin added] [1 to 2,5 mi DPS]

Blade Vortex Changes for Patch 3.3.0:

Now has 35% increased hit rate for each blade (up from 10%).

Now deals 35% more damage with hits and ailments for each blade (up from 30% for hits and 20% for ailments).

Now has 10% increased critical strike chance for each blade.

Now has a limit of 10 active spinning blades (down from 20).

BV is a fairly strong melee spell where the character, if he does not have a proper build, can easily die. The reduction in the number of stacks came with the intention of giving a higher QoL (quality of life), since spell echo was practically mandatory to BV to achieve the maximum number of blades taking a lot of time, an excellent QoL for bosses who attack quickly and almost non-stop and also to clean maps, making the process of recharging the stacks less tedious and with more lasting effect. In addition, now hits 7.5 times per second giving a bit more quality of life for builds that rely on hits, either to fill more easily Surgeon's flasks or to apply poison.

Goal with this build:

- 10 Blades at the same time to kill stronger enemies as fast as possible.

- Maximum poison stacks possible per second to procs "mors" damage.

- AoE enough to have a reasonable area of damage and QoL.

- Increased Skill Effect Duration enough to have a reasonable BV and Immortal Call duration, and others temporary buffs.

- Enough physical, chaos, elemental damage (with gear), cast speed, critical chance/damage to have a decent damage.

- The best defensive set based on Trickster + MoM + Weave the Arcane + Acrobatics + Phase Acrobatics + gear + others temporary defenses (flasks + fortify + Endurance Charges / Immortal Call) combined with best offensive set possible.

Leveling Guide

Leveling with Blade Vortex is quite safe, just be careful not to take spike damage in well marked telegraphed skills (hammer smash Vaal Oversoul, Dominus, Malachai, Izaro, etc). Be very careful with volatile, they can (really) kill you if it has "increased damage", "increased elemental damage", "extra elemental damage" or possessed by a tormented spirit.

Always keep an eye on dropped items, take the first 4L you see the right socket colors or be the right base for you to put the correct colors. You need 3 green and 1 blue in 4L, to all versions.

Do you can use The Princess unique sword from level 10 until to have Heartbreaker.

I recommend normal Izaro around level 35. Go cruel Izaro around level 55. Go merciless Izaro when you feel safe (I go from level 65).

Passive Tree

Basically, the passive tree is very similar, changing a few things in between. If you do not like or want to do more powerful versions you can change without many problems respeccing points.

2. [PoE 3.3] Death's Oath Trickster - ALL CONTENT | Tanky | Budget | Fast Clear | Lag-Free

The point of this guide is to be an extremely in-depth run-down of how to play the Death's Oath Trickster that has carried me through the last two leagues. At level 97 in bestiary Flashback SC, this build was the 12th Trickster on the ladder, or roughly the 230th highest level player in the world. If you're shooting for a top 10 spot, you'll probably want to stick to your wander/support combos, but I truly hope the other 98% of the Path of Exile community gains something from this. All of my play to level 97 was done solo, but not SSF (because I get lonely sometimes, and buying items is good). More experienced players can skip to Skill Setups and Gearing, Itemization, Enchantments sections, while less confident players can give the whole thing a read. I've done my best to make the guide both as in-depth and as beginner-friendly as possible. If you have a question, chances are the answer is in here, but barring that you can always ask or shoot me a private message.

Passive Skill tree

There are three important things to keep in mind when leveling with this character. The first is that we need two jewel sockets for our Spreading Rot unique jewels, making our blight a global damage amplifier. The second is that there are no points that require taking and regretting later, with the exception of +30 Strength nodes for players struggling to meet Death's Oath stat requirements. The third is that our aura effectiveness clusters (Charisma & Influence) do very little until we Equip Death's Oath.

Leveling

Tabula Rasa is your friend. Those of you used to reroll and leveling new characters shouldn't be surprised by this. I personally prefer Blade Vortex with Added Chaos Damage for leveling, but the acts set us up very well to use Essence Drainand Contagion as well. We can poison act bosses for clean and easy kills as well. In the absence of leveling uniques, rare items with life will suffice.

Do yourself a favour and spend a good few levels in the Blood Aqueducts (Act 9) to get the last big of life regeneration you need to sustain Death Aura's self-damage. The +30 Strength nodes are completely fine to take until higher levels, where you can get attributes on your rings.

CAUTION:

Death's oath gives attributes on it's own, including strength. This means that with it on, you should have 220-230 strength, or else removing the item will make you unable to re-equip it. This can make regretting certain nodes awkward.

3. [PoE 3.3] SC/HC - Essence Drain/Blight MoM Trickster - Uber Elder "viable"

3.3 update: Rather than my usual two paragraphs as an early league update, I made a video with my thoughts on the league. Due to no script and all that jazz, I forgot a few details, but most of the info is there. I will update the gearing sections as the league progresses and we get to see the power of Vaal Blight.

I have tried to maintain a guide for Essence Drain for a while now. I started playing ED at the end of 2.1. Since then, I have played ED characters as league starter for every single league. I played Witch before Ascendancy, then Ascendant, Trickster, Occultist and Necromancer ED in other leagues. I feel this makes me slightly qualified to spew some information and hopefully help someone who wants to try out Essence Drain.

The Essence Drain play style is a synergy between Essence Drain and Contagion, and after 3.0 we include Blight as well. Essence Drain is a projectile spell that applies a strong damage over time effect to the target. Contagion is an area of effect spell that deals weaker damage over time to targets. When a target affected by Contagion dies, both Essence Drain and Contagion DoT effects on that target are applied to nearby enemies. This means you first apply Contagion, then fire an Essence Drain into the enemies. When the first enemy dies, Essence Drain is spread to everything and your job is done. In 3.0 the Allelopathy gloves were introduced, giving us a very strong 5L Blight for our glove slot as well. This gives ED the single target punch that enables it to tackle the hardest of content more effectively. ED remains an extremely solid all-around build and can deal with all content with ease if played well.

Gem link progression

ED leveling is usually a combination of Blight, Contagion and Essence Drain. ED starts off very weak, and I often find myself using my largest gem links for Contagion and Blight instead. This boils down to personal preference, and I would suggest that any new player focuses on a proper ED/Contagion setup as listed below the first time around. This could make it easier for you to get used to the positioning and play style for later on.

We can get Essence Drain as we enter the Caverns of Wrath at level 12. If you don't like it at this point, that is understandable. If you like the concept, the actual performance will get way better as you level up.

I will split this section into two parts:

- Baseline setup

- Mid-game+ (level 60-70+)

The trickiest part of leveling an ED character is fitting all the gems, so hopefully, this makes things a bit easier for newer players.
